Briefly: born in a greek-egyptian family from Alexandria, soon she stands out for her cunning and curiosity; she began to study in the Dydaskalion or theological school, but she was more interested in other types of knowledge, more forbidden than religious teachings ... She was expelled from school when it was discovered that she had acceded to forbidden texts (when she found the ruinous remains of the Library of Alexandria)... Then she begins a long journey of initiation, which ends when she is taken as disciple by the thaumaturgist Theophanes of Antioch, in a small island in the Cyclades.
